Greater Nancy: A local “Rungis” and a central kitchen planned for 2029

Meeting the expectations of a growing number of citizens for healthy, high-quality, and more locally sourced food, as well as providing concrete solutions to farmers: these are the laudable ambitions of the Greater Nancy Metropolis, which wishes to take an active part in the food transition.
To achieve these objectives, the Greater Nancy Metropolitan Council approved, on April 24, the creation of a local "Rungis", called a Local Interest Market (MIL), which could be located on four hectares in the Marcel-Brot sector of Nancy, with 15,000 to 20,000 m2 of floor space.
